About me

It’s easy to find painting inspiration here in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. It’s a nature-loving painter’s paradise, really, with acres upon acres of farmland and orchards and dykelands, a wide variety of photogenic flora and fauna, and the Bay of Fundy at our doorstep, with its waterfalls and waves and sinuous coastlines. I’m very lucky to live here.

Completely self-taught, I love to experiment with mediums and techniques. Painting teaches me something every single time I pick up a brush and I’m continuously inspired by just how much there is to learn.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m busy playing guitar, composing music, practicing photography, exploring Nova Scotia by foot, bike and car, and doing whatever I can to avoid chores and bookkeeping spreadsheets.
